
Lacie West is the Area Development Director for the United Negro College Fund (UNCF), where she is responsible for all fundraising and outreach efforts in the Pacific Northwest Region, which encompasses Washington, Oregon, Idaho, Montana, Wyoming, and Alaska. The UNCF Pacific NW office has raised about $2 million dollars and supported over 3,000 UNCF local students and scholarship recipients. Major events and programs executed include the UNCF Walk, Run, Bike for Education, UNCF “A Mind Is…” Gala, and the UNCF Portfolio Project.
Prior to UNCF, West worked as the Senior Community Relations Representative for Western Culinary Institute – Le Cordon Bleu College of Culinary Arts in Portland, Oregon. She graduated in 2003 from the University of Washington with her BA in Business Administration with a concentration in Marketing and a minor in Communications. She is a proud member of Zeta Phi Beta Sorority, Inc. She is also 2008 graduate of United Way of King County’s Project LEAD. Moreover, as a Seattle native, she’s been heavily involved with several local community organizations and has served on the Board of Directors for ACAP (Accounting Career Awareness Program) and Mercer Island Youth and Family Services.
