With more people getting out and about, businesses are looking to invest in opening brick and mortar locations again. Oregon wineries Montinore Estate and Landlines Estates are two wineries that wants in on Downtown Woodinville’s Wine Walk Row. Tasting rooms are scheduled to open in August.
Some tasting rooms are self-supporting and highly profitable. In this model there is no middleman in which per-bottle profits are about twice as high on tasting room sales as they are on wine shop or supermarket sales.
The Woodinville tasting rooms will be part of The Schoolhouse District, a mixed-use development that opened last fall. The wineries, known for making pinot noirs and biodynamic grape, come from separate parts of the Willamette Valley Portland.
Some point to studies showing red wine, in moderation, has long been thought of as keeping the heart healthy. The alcohol and certain substances in red wine called antioxidants may help prevent coronary artery disease, the condition that leads to heart attacks. The links between red wine and fewer heart attacks aren’t completely understood.
Wine enthusiast believe that wine tasting is an art form. In 2016 Oregon was out on the map via it’s Wine Region of the Year recognition. This honor was bestowed on the area by Wine Enthusiast magazine. Oregon as a Wine Country is now a world-class destination. The Willamette Valley’s has wine tasting rooms that are now being enjoyed in Woodinville.
