Pamela L. Banks is President and Chief Executive Officer of the Urban League of Metropolitan Seattle (ULMS). She is a tireless advocate for equality and social justice, building community partnerships and strengthening community engagement. In 1982, she began a career with the City of Seattle that would span 30 years. She launched her career as a community organizer and would soon become a public relations manager in the Department of Housing and Human Services. Over the years, Pamela held multiple positions with increased responsibilities including strategic advisor in the Department of Transportation; program manager in the Department of Neighborhoods and senior policy advisor and community outreach director for Mayor Greg Nickels.

Pamela has served on multiple boards which include the Rainier Valley Chamber of Commerce, the Seattle International Baseball League and is a founding board member of the Garfield High School Foundation. She currently sits on the board and executive committee for the Alliance for Education. In June of 2012, Pamela became the second woman in the Urban League of Metropolitan Seattle’s 85-year history to hold the position of President and CEO.
