Yanis Fisher also sparked the Eagle fans with a couple spectacular runs up the gut. The Eagle’s defense was led by Dell-Lil Downs, Marjon Bennett and Alijah Vaouli-Buchanan. Seatac 7, Rainier Beach 6Seatac escaped with a hard fought win over the Lil’ guys from the Beach. RJ Carver scored on an 18-yard touchdown run and recorded an extra point to help lift the Sharks to victory. Seattle 089ers Rainier Eagles 42, CD Panthers 0Oh no not again… The Rainier Eagles had a dominate performance against the CD Panthers. The Eagles got touchdowns from Ja’Shaun Poke, Askari Davis, Daylen Griffin, Tanfred Russell Jr and Azure Holloway-Figueroa as they remained undefeated on the year. Tierre Monroe-Jones, Jay’Taevius Coleman and Eugene Sims-Westwood all recorded extra points for the Eagles. Rainier’s defense got their 4th shut out of the season. Looking well-polished with only one game left in the season, the Eagles are prepping hard for the playoffs. Rainier White Ravens 25, Kent 0Chalk up another shut-out victory for the Rainier White Raven 89ers. In their six wins, they’ve shut out their opponent four times. Cameron Daniels, Savion Jenkins and BiJan San-Jose Lee all recorded sacks on the day. The Raven’s offense got busy with a long, pounding open drive on Kent’s muddy field that was capped off by a two-yard touchdown by Khalil Goodwin. On their next offensive series, Marcell Robinson ran up the middle for a 15-yard touchdown. It was Goodwin and Robinson again in the third quarter on 20-yard half-back pass from Goodwin to Robinson that put the Ravens on the 1 yard line. Penalties pushed the Ravens back to the 20 yard, but that didn’t stop Goodwin from running around the defense to score the Raven’s third touchdown of the day. In the fourth quarter, Jamon Kemp scored on a 25-yard quarterback keeper to put the Ravens up 25 to 0. The Ravens defense, led by LaQuan X, Dominic Jacobs and Viegus Ortega held Kent’s offense scoreless on the final drive of the game. Rainier Green Ravens 26, W. Seattle 13The Rainier Green Ravens 89ers weathered the cold and rain to press toward another victory as they beat the West Seattle Wildcats 26-13. The Ravens struck early as Jayquan Ingram intercepted the ball on the first Wildcat drive and running back Derek Ray scored a 60-yard touchdown on his first run of the game. Derek Ray also added two additional touchdowns for the day. Other highlights for the Green Ravens include: an interception by Dorian Tibbs, a 30-yard touchdown by Jayquan Ingram, fumble recoveries and several defensive stops by Kobe Elleby, Saint Prim and Romeo Williams. Tre Morris added two extra points scored after touchdowns. The Green Ravens survived a late surge by the West Seattle as they Wildcats scored on a 80-yard kick return for a touchdown and a 20-yard touchdown reception. Seatac 40, Rainier Beach 12 Seatac’s Ja’mezz Johnson recorded two touchdowns and a fumble recovery, while teammate Mark Tafia recorded two touchdowns of his own to help lead the Sharks to victory. Michael Ulagalu scored a touchdown for the Sharks as well, and Gerald Hood and Aereck Savelio both recorded two extra points each. On defense, Talaifii Matila recorded a quarterback sack and Bobby Davis III recovered a fumble. With horrific weather conditions it was a tough battle for both teams. Marje McKenzie had another great game carrying the ball for the Eagles, Kalen McGee pulled off a “You Tube” 60-yard run that had the crowd standing. The Eagle defense, led by Maurice “Big Mo” Tramble who had 7 tackles for losses, gave up very few yards to the Panthers.Seatac 16, Rainier Beach 0Rainier Beach put the ball on the ground 6 times as the undefeated Sharks took advantage of the fumbles. The Vikings fumbled in the end zone twice, one for a safety and the other was recovered by Seatac’s Iziq Ifopo for a touchdown to give Seatac a 9-0 advantage at the half, despite the Viking defense keeping the high-powered Seatac offense out of the ednzone. In the second half, Seatac running back Primo Ramirez scored on a 55-yard run on what looked like a tackle but Ramirez avoided going down and turned a broken play into a touchdown for the game’s final score. Seatac’s stingy defense gave up very little yards, as the Vikings high-powered offense seemed to be out of rhythm all day.Kent 19, Rainier White 7SKCJFL newest franchise, the Kent Cobras, finished its inaugural season with a 7-1 record, and secured a playoff spot in the process. The offense got some good play from Nathaniel Fetuao, Jordan Rosado and Tyler Branum. The defense was lead by Adam Long, Lamont Lathon, Draven Hope, Simati Mamoe and Suimai Daniel. Madden then turned around and ran for a 91 yard touchdown for the Sharks.
