Pierce County Voting Center Open; Other Auditor Services Limited Until Election Day

The Pierce County Auditor’s Office has limited some services due to high voter turnout for the General Election today. With nearly 10,000 voters expected on Election Day, passport services will be unavailable, and licensing and recording services will be limited. Parking near the Auditor’s Office will also be significantly reduced, and residents are encouraged to complete transactions online at piercecountywa.gov/auditor or visit one of 10 countywide licensing agencies.

The Pierce County Voting Center, located in the County Annex building at 2401 S. 35th St., is open today from 8:30 a.m. to 8 p.m. Voters can access a variety of services at the Voting Center, including:

· Registering to vote

· Updating voter registration

· Receiving and submitting a ballot

· Obtaining a replacement ballot

· Accessing disability assistance, such as large print, color contrast, and audible ballot options

· Picking up a Washington State or Pierce County voters’ pamphlet

The Auditor’s Office will resume regular operations on Wednesday, Nov. 6.
