“Yes, and that is the reason why we have three branches of government. It is intended to keep presidents in line, or at least aligned, but he is misusing his authority.”

“I think he does overstep, and I just haven’t agreed with anything that he has done. Executive orders are a power grab just because he doesn’t want to go through the regular process of legislation.”

“The three branches of government are supposed to keep each other balanced, but the president is overstepping his authority with executive orders to make laws. I think that he is trying to force people to go his way, and if not, he is going to cut funding, like he has been doing.”

“I am a veteran, so I stay away from politics and remain uninvolved, so I don’t know if he is overstepping his authority or not.”

“Yes, I do. I think that there’s a reason why we have a judicial process, and I think that obviously, executive power is there theoretically for a reason. We have several branches of government that all need to agree on something, typically, before something is passed. So yes, I think that using excessive executive orders is definitely an overreach of power.”

“Yes, I do, because the intention of them is to manage the federal government, whether they’re supposed to be within the bounds of the Constitution or laws set by Congress itself. And the executive order gives the direct oversight as to how something is supposed to be enforced within the powers already delegated to the President. And so President Trump has violated that because he’s done executive orders that overstep already existing law, precedent, and the Constitution, like with the birthright citizenship case, which is written in the 14th Amendment. They were very clear about that. And with him making an executive order to attempt that, even though, as common sense we know, that’s unlawful, it’s going to get struck down. The fact that he attempted it shows that he doesn’t really care about that. He is going to ruin executive orders for future presidents, when there actually is an emergency where it is the right thing to go through order.”
