Raymond L. Tucker Sr. was born in Crossett, Arkansas, to the union of Laura and Eugene Tucker. Raymond was the fourth of eleven children. Raymond graduated from T.W. Daniel High School and joined the United States Armed Forces (Navy). Raymond also attended several trade courses.
Raymond married the love of his life, Shirley Gore, on November 15, 1975. From that union, they had four children and later adopted four more daughters.
Raymond was a man of God, serving as Deacon; he loved the Lord. A family man, he loved his wife, children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren unconditionally. Raymond was a man of many talents. He loved fishing, cooking, barbecuing, and working on cars. Raymond also loved traveling and serving his community.
Raymond was preceded in death by his parents, Laura and Eugene Tucker, and his brothers, Calvin Tucker, Jimmy Tucker, and Sylvester Tucker.
He leaves to cherish his memory: his wife, Shirley Tucker; his sons and daughters, Shakeana Caplan (John), Shamika Tucker, Raymond Tucker Jr., Tyrone Tucker Sr. (Tamika), Katia Jimerson, Cynthia Young, Cassandra Kirkcum, and Shayla Randolph; grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
He is survived by his brothers and sisters: Clifton Tucker, Curtis Tucker, Eli Tucker, Pastor Marion Tucker (Julia), Marie Martin, Viola Shields, and Rosie Mae Turner, along with a host of nieces, nephews, and cousins.
The family of Raymond L. Tucker Sr. would like to thank all our family and friends for their love, compassion, and support during this difficult time. God bless you!
