HEIR 9U 34, RISE 9U
Alijah Nelson delivered a dominant five-touchdown performance to lead HEIR 9U past Rise 34–6 in a commanding non-league win on Saturday. Nelson racked up 245 rushing yards on just seven carries, breaking away for long scores of 55, 52, 42, and 36 yards as HEIR controlled the game from start to finish. Fueled by a balanced effort on both sides of the ball, HEIR imposed their tempo early and never allowed Rise to build sustained momentum.
After an explosive opening touchdown by Nelson, HEIR recovered an onside kick and pressured Rise into turnovers. Roman Ailport forced and recovered a key fumble, and Kameron Ross added an interception to stall Rise’s early attempts to respond. Though Rise briefly narrowed the gap on a touchdown run from Omir Thomas following a 36-yard completion, HEIR remained unfazed. Nelson added his third score just after halftime and continued his assault with two more in the second half to seal the win.
HEIR’s defense matched the offense in intensity, forcing multiple turnovers including interceptions by Ross and Zyair Mora. Amias Satiacum Abdullah made key tackles to limit Rise’s second-half gains, and Marquez Jackson added an onside kick recovery to help HEIR maintain control. While Rise showed flashes behind Siale’uvea Talaki and Thomas, the pressure proved overwhelming. With the win, HEIR further cemented its status as one of the region’s top 9U teams.
