Rev. Ruth Saunders is founder of It Takes a Village Ministries and serves as Vice President of Religious Programming at Kris Bennett Broadcasting Network. She is Co-Host of the Truth Radio Ministry With Rev. Dr. Samuel Berry McKinney which airs twice on Sundays on the Heaven Bound Train broadcast over Seattle AM stations KRIZ1420, KZIZ1560, KYIZ1620 and in Portland KBMS1460 and the world wide web at ztwins.com. She was the Co-Coordinator of the SAVE KRIZ Campaign in 2013 where she helped raise funds necessary to keep the voice of the African American community alive. She is an Associate Pastor at Mount Zion Baptist Church and a committed community Prayer Warrior Ministering to women, children and families.

 She graduated cum laude from Paine College, Augusta GA and received a Certificate of Pastoral Leadership from Seattle University in 2008. She serves on the Boards of the Leon Sullivan Health Care Center and the Mount Zion Housing Development Corporation (McKinney Manor Senior Housing).

Rev. Saunders is married to Deacon John Saunders.  They have two children, John, III and Valyncia and three grandchildren, Latrevian, Isaiah and Benjamin.
