
Kris Bennett Broadcasting, Inc. (KBBI), Chairperson, Chris H. Bennett, announced today that Rev. Ruth Saunders has been appointed Vice President for Religious Broadcasting Operations for 1420 AM KRIZ Radio Station. KRIZ 1420 AM is the original flagship station for the Pacific Northwest and Washington’s largest African American, locally owned and operated broadcasting facility – Kris Bennett Broadcasting, Inc. Effective immediately, KRIZ 1420, will be provide gospel programming 24 hours a day, 7 days per week.
“Our audiences will be able to hear inspirational and traditional gospel music, as well sermons, prayers, teaching, church worship services and much more all day, every day,” said Bennett.
Rev. Ruth Saunders, is the co-Host of the “The Truth Broadcasting Ministry”, an Associate Minister of Mount Zion Baptist Church (Seattle, WA.), a community prayer warrior, author, minister of the gospel, teacher, preacher and prophet.
“Rev. Saunders brings a long range of managerial and analytical experience to our radio broadcast team,” said Bennett of Saunders appointment.
The native Georgian graduated salutatorian from high school, Cum Laude from Paine College, Augusta, Georgia and received an outstanding 4.0 grade point in Pastoral Leadership from Seattle University with a Certificate in Pastoral Leadership. Her recently published book: “Spiritual Water for the Soul…Sermons and Commentaries…” has already received glowing reviews. She retired from the Social Security Administration with over 20 years of managerial experience.
Rev. Saunders told The Seattle Medium, “Her primary objective as VP of Religious broadcast operations for KRIZ 1420 AM is to make it a viable profit center that will bring about spiritual revitalization in the African American community, in particular, by assisting churches and religious organizations in evangelistic outreach through an effective radio broadcast ministry.
“We absolutely must get beyond the walls of the church and reach our street population who have lost their way,” said Saunders. “Of particular concern is the religious education of our youth with the mission of keeping them morally focused, off the streets and out of the jails and prisons?”
