In a game of pure total dominance on both sides of the ball, the Richmond Bulldogs 10U team, playing their first game ever in the Northwest Premier Junior Football League, visited the SeaTac Sharks for this week’s game of the week.
This game was all Sharks, as they opened up the first quarter showcasing their powerful ground game. Javian Ferrell got the first score of the game rushing from 15 yards out behind the dominant blocking of his offensive line. A few minutes later, Saucy Kongaika took advantage of some poor tackling by the defense, and used his great field vision to rush in for another Sharks touchdown, giving them a 13-0 lead.
After some great plays on the defensive side of the ball, it was the Sharks quarterback’s turn to score. After doing a great job all quarter, Mason Emil decided it was time to reward himself with a monster 25 yard touchdown run. The first quarter came to an end with the Sharks pitching a shutout to the visiting Bulldogs, who were looking for some better defense in the second quarter.
The next quarter opened up with more of the same for SeaTac. Their offense had already marched down the field and as they started the quarter deep in Richmond territory, it was one seemingly effortless 8-yard rush by Saucy Kongaika to put the Sharks up 26-0 after the extra point. Both teams played exceptional defense the rest of the quarter, not to mention some offensive blunders, and the teams went into the half with the Sharks up by a fair amount.
In the start of the second half, the Sharks decided to show off their air attack. With a fantastic catch and run, Tre’Anthony Robinson recorded a nearly 50-yard touchdown reception after a great throw from his quarterback. The Sharks defense continued to dominate the line of scrimmage and the game looked seemingly out of reach for the Bulldogs. With the running clock and the Sharks not looking to slow down, this game was finished on the ground as Seatac’s Ranae Naitoko ended the game with a 40-yard touchdown run and extra point.
Final score, SeaTac Sharks 40, Richmond Bulldogs 0.
