Seattle-Tacoma International Airport Best Airport, Again

Seattle-Tacoma International Airport’s (SEA) vision to focus on improvements has benefitted the airport and flyers. The work put in includes beautifully modernized spaces such as new dining and retail options in the N Concourse, the fully renovated and expanded Central Terminal, as well as the International Arrivals Facility.

Acting on the mission has made SEA the best airport in North America for the second year running. The honor was announced by international air transport rating agency Skytrax at the 2023 World Airport Awards. It is only the second large hub U.S. airport (serving 40 million or more passengers per year) to be recognized at the 4-Star Rating level.

The Port of Seattle Commission President Sam Cho was excited and shared his enthusiasm. “I want to give major kudos to our airport employees and partners for this back-to-back recognition.”  Cho said, “Excellence in aviation is a team effort. The Port Commission sets a vision for the airport, but every single employee and partner played a role in executing the vision and earning this top ranking. It’s a huge achievement and we are honored to share it with the entire SEA Airport team. We are well on our way to building a port of the future.”

There is much to view in the future for SEA. Over the next five years, it is embarking on capital projects to upgrade with a focus on improving the traveler experience across the airport. SEA is currently certified with Skytrax’s prestigious 4-Star Airport Rating.

SEA packs it on to increase the positive experience of flyers. Phone Apps make it easier. Sea’s innovation is supported by digital tools like the flySEA App, the SEA Spot Saver program, and Order SEA. SEA also continues to make traveler-focused updates including wayfinding and customer information improvements. There are the important seating and furniture upgrades, seat power rollout, and new dining and retail options coming to maybe take the top spot next year.
