Delta Dental Names Shawn McWashington Director Of Sales

Delta Dental of Washington has appointed Shawn McWashington as its new Director of Sales, tapping a seasoned leader with deep roots in Washington to drive its sales strategy and business development efforts. In this role, McWashington will oversee a full team of sales professionals, with a focus on expanding strategic partnerships, strengthening broker and client relationships, and helping employers and employees across the state maximize the value of their dental benefits.

McWashington brings extensive experience in sales, customer strategy, and business development, having held leadership roles at Amazon, Trupanion, and HomeStreet Bank. His appointment signals a continued commitment by Delta Dental of Washington to deliver value-driven solutions to its nearly 4 million members statewide and beyond.

A Washington State University alumnus, McWashington earned both his undergraduate and graduate degrees from WSU, where he was also a standout student-athlete. He played as a starting wide receiver on the first WSU football team to reach the Rose Bowl in 67 years. He later completed Ph.D. coursework in athletic administration at Florida State University.

In addition to his professional background, McWashington is actively engaged in community service. He has served on the Board of Directors for the Urban League of Metropolitan Seattle and Communities in Schools of Washington. He also volunteers his time in support of initiatives focused on education, equity, and youth development.
