SIFF Movie Preview: Step

Step is an uplifting documentary following members of a high school step team at The Baltimore Leadership School for Young Women. Just one year after the Freddie Gray verdict struck the community, the film chronicles the parallel journeys of three young women as they prepare to graduate, continue on to college, and win an annual tri-state step competition held at Bowie State University. Filled with ups and downs, triumphs and challenges, Step tells a story of true sisterhood, perseverance and community.

Step will be showing at the following times and locations during the Seattle International Film Festival:

Sunday, May 21, 4:00 PM
SIFF Cinema Uptown

Monday, May 22, 6:00
PM SIFF Cinema Uptown

Director Amanda Lipitz is scheduled to attend both screenings.
