SIFF Movie Preview: Step

Step is an uplifting documentary following members of a high school step team at The Baltimore Leadership School for Young Women. Just one year after the Freddie Gray verdict struck the community, the film chronicles the parallel journeys of three young women as they prepare to graduate, continue on to college, and win an annual tri-state step competition held at Bowie State University. Filled with ups and downs, triumphs and challenges, Step tells a story of true sisterhood, perseverance and community.
