SIFF Movie Preview: Wùlu

Wùlu, set in Mali, is a story about a young man named Ladji searching for a way to get ahead. Struggling to make ends meet, his sister prostitutes herself while he works at a bus depot. When passed over for a promotion as a bus driver, Ladji ventures into the world of drug trafficking. Finding success in his dangerous new profession, Ladji establishes a comfortable life for himself and his sister, but with his new found fortune come challenges that beg the question, “Is it worth it?”
