OLYMPIA – The median salary for residential construction jobs is $65,000 annually, with more experienced workers earning over $105,000 per year with opportunities to launch their own businesses. Ready to explore a future in construction? Builders are looking for skilled workers.

The Building Industry Association of Washington and the Master Builders Association of King and Snohomish counties are partnering with Steward of Craft and Seattle Central College on a Residential construction job fair from 2 to 4 p.m. at the Seattle Central’s Wood Technology Center, located at Seattle Central College’s Wood Technology Center, 2310 S Lane St., Seattle, WA 98144.

Residential construction companies from across the region are providing full- or part-time employment opportunities to students in the Residential Construction micropathway program. This is a great opportunity to supplement a student’s classroom and shop education with paid jobsite experience.

In addition, some companies are covering a portion of students’ tuition in exchange for continuing employment for an agreed-upon duration following completion of the program, provided the student worker is in good standing with the company.
