A tragic shooting in South Seattle’s New Holly neighborhood has left a 14-year-old boy dead, prompting a thorough investigation by the Seattle Police Department (SPD). Three suspects have been apprehended in Everett following a high-speed pursuit.

The incident unfolded on Thursday night when a 911 call was made at approximately 8:30 p.m. to report a shooting near Central Park, situated at the intersection of Rockery Dr. S and Holly Park Dr. S. This area is located on the northwest side of Central Park, within the New Holly neighborhood.
Upon arrival at the scene, responding officers discovered an unresponsive 14-year-old boy with a gunshot wound. Immediate medical attention was provided by the officers until Seattle Fire medics took over. The teenager was swiftly transported to Harborview Medical Center for further treatment. Despite the efforts of medical professionals, tragically, the young victim succumbed to his injuries and passed away at the hospital.
A King County helicopter was deployed to track the suspect vehicle as it fled through city streets. The pursuit led westbound on 129th over I-5 and then northbound. At one point, the helicopter temporarily lost sight of the suspect vehicle in the Northgate neighborhood. However, law enforcement authorities managed to intercept the vehicle, identified as a light blue Hyundai Tucson, outside the Madison Avenue Pub in Everett. Three individuals were subsequently taken into custody.
The SPD has emphasized that this case remains an active and ongoing investigation. Homicide detectives are diligently working to ascertain the circumstances that led to the tragic shooting. Their efforts aim to uncover the motive behind this senseless act of violence and provide answers to the grieving community.
