“My response is I think we will be better off with Trump in office because I’ve noticed more job opportunities have opened up. It has been easier for young and old people to obtain employment. Right before he took office, after I graduated from college, it took me eight months to find a job. And after retirement, my father wanted to find something, and it took him a month and a half to find a position. So, I think from that perspective, it has been better off.”

“Definitely worse. We are going down a rabbit hole to be worse than the current worse—if that makes sense. I think we are in a very dangerous spot, and we have to be careful. I think we are in a position where we have to endure these next three and a half years. Buckle your seatbelts and endure, because right now we are in a dangerous place.”

“I would say we are in a worse situation because I think there is a lot of unknown. There is a lot of panic setting in, and as Black people overall, obviously I’ve been affected working in the school district and federal dollars being cut, and people not understanding if tomorrow will be the same as yesterday. But, getting to the grit of everything, I don’t understand the total complexity of the job. I know there are bigger things that need to happen holistically, and I want to give it a little bit more time to see how it all unfolds. But my knee-jerk reaction is things are worse today than yesterday.”

“I don’t know too much about the economy, but I have seen in the news that all the stocks have been going down ever since Trump got elected. So, just off of what I’ve seen, I think the economy is getting worse since he’s been here. I know that it wasn’t like this with the last president. And I also know that, with presidencies, the economy is kind of based on the last one. So, I don’t really know how much that affected Trump’s current one, but right now I don’t think it’s too good, so I think it’s worse.”

“The world is worse since Trump came into office because he is a thief, he starts stuff, and he takes from communities and the world. He’s creating problems, starting fights with other countries, and that’s why I feel he should be impeached. He should never have won the office.”

“Since Trump came into office, I don’t think there has been enough time for him as president for me to judge because it has only been a little over one hundred days. So, I honestly don’t know yet. Maybe after he has been in office a little longer, I can gauge more judgment. As far as the tariffs, kicking people out of the country, everything else that is going on—I just don’t know yet. I can’t tell you at this moment if his policies will be effective. I can’t judge off of just one hundred days.”
