What Are You Hopeful For In 2026?

Shemona:
“I’m hopeful for the city to take advantage of the opportunities and the ability to try something new. And also just even personally for myself of just stop operating from this mindset of scarcity and fear and to just be brave and take on the courage of trying new things. To lift myself up and all the people around me because if nothing’s going to change if we don’t do anything. And so, I want to do that in a joyful, courageous way. So that’s what I’m hopeful for in 2026.”
Chelsea:
“I am hopeful for the aspiration of equity and that people can come together for the sake of each other to do better and to make each other’s lives better, and to accept each other for who they are, but want to see the growth and the prosperity of their neighbor. That’s what I’m hoping for.”
Nicky:
“Healing, collaboration, and more planning for our future of our use.”
Keshia:
“Change. Less violence, less killings, and someone that’s here to support us Brown people. That’s what I’m looking for in 2026.”
Donnitta:
“I am hopeful for healthy collaboration amongst our community with law enforcement and grassroots organizations.”
Diamatrius:
“Mostly unity. There’s a lot of divisiveness and we really need to come together and figure out some common solutions to our common problems.”
