Washington Rhinestone Club To Host Annual Scholarship Luncheon This Sunday

The Washington Rhinestone Club will host its Annual Scholarship Luncheon this Sunday, April 14 at 2:00 p.m. at the Doubletree Hotel in Southcenter.

The Washington Rhinestone Club is a non-profit organization that has served the greater Seattle community for over 69 years. Its mission is to acknowledge, enhance, and support the academic achievement of African American young women committed to attending an institution of higher learning upon graduation from high school. The WRC’s annual luncheon provides financial support vital in assisting them in their educational endeavors in college.

Mary Wideman-Williams, MPA, and her daughter, Marquinta Obomanu, MPA, who are co-founders of Sista Boss, LLC, will be the guest speakers on the topic: “EMBRACING TOMORROW’S LEADERS TODAY.”

The event will also feature the enjoyable and entertaining “Dessert Dash” and “Hat Contest”, along with wonderful door prizes included in the program.
