One Dead, One Injured In White Center Shooting Linked To Road Rage Incident

A shooting incident in White Center early Sunday morning has resulted in one fatality and another individual hospitalized with gunshot wounds. Initial reports suggest that the violence stemmed from a road rage altercation involving occupants of a parked vehicle and a driver suspected of being under the influence.

Around 1 a.m. on July 20, deputies responded to calls about a shooting near 16th Avenue SW in White Center. Upon arrival, they discovered two men suffering from gunshot injuries.

Deputies provided immediate first aid while waiting for medical personnel to transport the victims to local hospitals. One of the men succumbed to his injuries shortly after reaching the hospital, while the other is expected to recover. Law enforcement was able to identify and apprehend the shooting suspect at the scene.

Later in the afternoon, the King County Sheriff’s Office (KCSO) issued a statement detailing the events leading to the shooting. According to deputies, the driver, who was allegedly intoxicated, collided with a parked car, which sparked a confrontation between the occupants of both vehicles.
