Woman Kidnapped In Seattle Escaped Cinder Block Prison In Oregon

A 29 year old man who once appeared on the Judge Judy TV show posed as an undercover police officer and kidnapped a woman in Seattle. He then drove her to his home in Oregon and held her as a captive. The woman escaped from a makeshift cell made of cinder blocks. She reported to authorities that she was sexually assaulted by the man. Negasi Zuberi was taken into custody by the FBI on suspicion of kidnapping across state lines. The woman made her escape from Zuberi’s home in Klamath Falls, Oregon.

Zuberi is said to have lived in at least 10 states since 2016 and has been linked to violent assaults in at least four states. Investigators said they are looking for more victims. Court documents filed Wednesday show that Zuberi was indicted by a federal grand jury in Oregon on one count of kidnapping and one count of transportation with intent to engage in sexual activity.

The suspect, according to law enforcement, goes by the names Sakima, Justin Hyche and Justin Kouassi. He is believed to have used various methods to get his victims including putting drugs in their drinks, posing as a police officer, and soliciting the services of sex workers. He allegedly assaulted his victims sexually.

Zuberi traveled from his home in Klamath Falls to Seattle last month where he posed as an undercover police officer to solicit the services of a prostitute. The woman said Zuberi pointed a Taser at her, placed her in handcuffs and leg irons and then put her in the back seat of his car.

Zuberi made many mistakes and was therefore tracked using cell phone technology. The tracking lead the feds to Reno, Nevada, where he was arrested after a standoff. Zuberi was taken into custody at a Walmart parking lot. Police obtained a search warrant on July 16 and located the makeshift cell and other items, including the victim’s purse in Zuberi’s garage, according to the affidavit.
