Cheerleader
Marietta “Monet” Young
Lakewood L.Y.T.E.
Marietta “Monet” Young is an awesome cheerleader all the way around. She shows a great deal of leadership skills when interacting with our new and younger cheer ladies and is always enthusiastic about every routine and presents as a professional (she’s only in 3rd grade!) – ready for work! Her hobbies are swimming, gymnastics, cheerleading and reading. She has 3.7 GPA and desires to be a scuba diver or a teacher. She is an amazingly well rounded young lady.
Cheerleader
Vendell (Royal) Jones
Seatac Sharks
Royal has been cheering with Seatac for 3 years now and brings great energy to the team. She has made great strides in becoming a better cheerleader and team member. Royal always has a great attitude and works hard perfecting her craft. We look forward to having her with us for years to come.
Player
Isendre Ahfua
Seatac Sharks
Isendre “Papa the Hammer” Ahfua had a monster game last Saturday rushing for 150 yards and two touchdowns and adding 2 receptions for 70 yards and a score. On defense, Ahfua had a sack as well as 3 tackles for loss. Since arriving to Seatac, Ahfua has dominated on and off the field. He is obviously a beast on the field averaging over 100 yards a game of total offense and leads one of the leagues’ top defensive with multiple tackles in the backfield. His off the field work and great character is often overlooked. He’s an awesome guy! He is not only humble, but is one of the kindest guys in the field. His character is contagious and his light shines for all to see. The sky is just a limitation for this young man. We are blessed to have him and his family here at the Shark tank.
Player
Noah Koke-Mauga
Lakewood L.Y.T.E.
Noah is an eighth grader who attends Mann Middle School in Lakewood, WA. Outside of being a force on the Lakewood L.Y.T.E football team, he also loves being around his family, playing video games, and taking part in his Church’s activities. Although big in stature, Noah’s parents can’t help but to brag about his giving spirit and his love for others. They say he would give his shirt off his back or his last bite of food if someone needed it. That’s why it was surprising when Noah got into a slight altercation on the field early in the season. This was a lesson that was either going to break him or help him grow as a player and a person. In an apology letter to the NW Premier and Lakewood L.Y.T.E. organizations, Noah stated “I acted out of character. What I learned from this incident is that football is a team sport. I don’t want this incident to define me. I am a hard-working 13- year old boy who loves the game of Football.” His coach says that Noah set a goal to overcome the stigma of a “bad player” as stated in his letter, and through this he has strengthened his character and has excelled as a leader through his amazing work ethic. L.Y.T.E. stands for Leading Youth To Excellence and Noah Koke-Mauga personifies just that.
