Youth Football Participants Of The Week 9-11-19

Player

Jermaine Tofa

Benson Bruins

Linemen are rarely in the spotlight. And when you’re a lineman on one of the most stacked 8U teams in the area with teammates like William Conroy Jr. and Dash Jones, it’s easy to fade into the background.

Standing over 5′ tall – well above his 7 and 8 year old teammates and opponents, 8U Nose Tackle/Guard, Jermaine Tofa,  is impossible to miss. Tofa battles against double teams all game long and never lets up. In the Bruins season opener against CD, he had a fumble recovery for his first ever touchdown. He is passionate about blocking and committed to perfecting his craft and protecting his teammates.

A natural protector, Jermaine is the oldest of six children. He’s in his fourth year of Boy Scouts and he’s been playing the cello for five years.

Player

Darryl “DJ” Saulsbury

Saulsbury had an mop performance last weekend against the 253 Spartans, as he had close to 300 yards rushing.
