The Cowboys and Bengals battled for pride in this game. Beacon Hill had some good runs from Demetrios Gordon, Jr. and Joe Davis, Jr with two touchdown runs coming from Aalontae Coe. On defense, the Cowboys had Zion Ulugalu, Roman Petty and Demetrios Gordon, Jr with some game winning plays in the last seconds of the game. It was a valiant effort by the Bengals as they fought with competiveness but was unable to bring home the win.
Rainier Ravens 12
Benson Bruins 0
In this defensive showdown of the only two undefeated 8U teams, both the Ravens and Bruins squads put on a defensive clinic in the first half allowing no points and a 0-0 half-time score. The Ravens were able to score twice in the second half and come out with a win. Both teams are focused on the playoffs which could very possibly include a highly anticipated rematch.

This decisive 70-0 victory showcased a balanced yet powerful offense. The first drive started with a 40 yard run by Geno Smith , capped off by JaRay McKnight’s 5 yard touchdown. After the first drive, the Panthers continued to have 1 and 2 play scoring drives that included, Drey Crosby with a 15 yard touchdown run, Trice DeLay had a 10 yard catch for a touchdown, Kai Diaz with an 8 yard touchdown run, Karim (Beastmode) Smith with a 20 yard touchdown run, Dash Jones with a 30 yard touchdown catch and a 30 yard run. J’Andre (Problem) Castillo had two runs for 20 and 25 yards, Cayne Rodriguez who had a 40 yard touchdown catch, and also caught a pass for an extra point conversion.
Rashawn Tymony had great pocket presence and added his own highlights, rushing for 15 yards , while throwing for over 100 yards and 3 touchdowns.
The Panthers played a complete game including special teams. Cayne Rodriguez had a 30 yard kick off return ,which was cut short when he was ushered out of bounds. Carter Sealy-Pool, who is nationally ranked as a kicker, made 3 extra points.
The defense was stifling and rounded out the game, unwilling to give up any yards at all. The defensive highlights include, Nelson (Lee-see-ya-te) Tatafu with a sack , Mahkai Phillips one sack and a fumble recovery, Teymarion three TFL and two fumble recoveries, Xavier with 1 TFL and a 45 yard scoop and score, Psalm Moi one TFL, Alden with good penetration and a sack, Isaiah Simanton with heavy pressure one TFL and a fumble recovery , Stephen and Carmello James both contributed with fumble recoveries.
As the momentum of the regular season carries into the playoffs, the Panthers will be prepared for any opponent. Lakewood came into this game prepared to win. Their defense and offensive mindset wasn’t to loose, but it just wasn’t their day. A valiant effort on their part should be applauded.
