Washington Youth Football League 12U/14U Scores & Highlights 10-8-25

12U:

Benson 11U 36, HEIR 11U 12

The boys came out strong under the Saturday night lights. Ryan Cruz opened the game with a touchdown, followed by an extra point from Ohi Hoopii Tupito to put Benson up 8-0. The momentum continued into the second quarter with Cruz striking again to make it 14-0. Despite missed extra points, Benson’s offense kept pushing with two more touchdowns—another by Cruz and one from Kingston Bates—stretching the lead to 26-6 by halftime.

In the third quarter, Jr Falefia added to the scoreboard, and Ohi Hoopii Tupito nailed another extra kick to close out the scoring at 36-12. The defense held firm with no scores allowed in the fourth quarter, only giving up one touchdown late in the second and another in the third.

Benson 11U 33, Federal Way Hawks 12U 12

Less than 24 hours later, the boys were back on the field, this time facing an older 12U squad. Despite tired legs, they came out with energy. Tommy Rehon Leaupepe got things started with a touchdown, and Ohi converted the extra point. Kingston Bates followed up with another touchdown to push the lead to 14-0.

Ryan Cruz found the end zone again in the second quarter, making it 20-6 at halftime. In the third, Reggie Brown made a huge impact with a pick-six, bringing the score to 26-12. In the final quarter, Kingston Bates broke loose for a 35-yard touchdown, with Ohi Hoopii Tupito adding the extra point on a pass to seal the 33-12 win.

Playing two games in under 24 hours tested the team’s endurance, focus, and rhythm. Fatigue showed at times, with the boys struggling to find consistency, but they kept grinding. The offense managed to make key plays, while the defense held strong when it mattered most. Despite the tough schedule, the Benson 11U squad walked away with two impressive wins over the weekend.

Benson 12U 38, B12 Bearcats 0

In a showdown between two unbeaten WYFL 12U teams, the Benson Bruins delivered a dominant all-around performance to blank the B12 Bearcats 38-0 and improve to 3-0 in league play. The victory was sparked by a game-changing sequence in the first quarter when Isaiah Pua recovered a fumble and set up the Bruins’ opening score. From there, Benson never looked back, with Pua adding a 91-yard touchdown run and two interceptions in a standout individual performance.

The Bruins controlled the game on both sides of the ball, shutting down the Bearcats’ offense and capitalizing on nearly every opportunity. Quarterback David Boyce Jr. was flawless through the air, going 4-for-4 with 100 yards and two touchdowns, while also rushing for another score. Benson’s defense repeatedly stifled the Bearcats’ drives, led by key stops from Mesake Vee and a fourth-quarter fumble recovery by Kaydon Fletcher that preserved the shutout.

Despite some promising drives from Bearcats quarterback Kristopher “KJ” Hammick, who finished with 129 total yards, Benson’s defense tightened in the red zone and forced multiple turnovers. The Bruins exploded for 25 points in the third quarter, highlighted by a 31-yard touchdown to Sebastian Rojo Jr. and a 38-yard strike to Zy’Aire Buckley-Evans. With this commanding win, the Bruins solidified their spot atop the league standings and extended their unbeaten run in WYFL 12U competition.
