Benson Bruins 18, CD Panthers 0
The number one seeded Benson Bruins faced the CD Panthers to be crowned the 6U division champions of the Northwest Premier Junior Football League (NWPJFL). The Panthers entered their matchup after a game-winning touchdown as time expired in their playoff game against 253 Heir last week.
Benson’s defense made fundamental tackles which didn’t allow the Panthers to gain much yards. With good defense fueling their offense, Benson’s Aaron Moore and Elijah Nelson scored back-to-back touchdowns to give the Bruins at 12-0 lead at half.
In the second half, the Bruins were able to keep the Panthers out of the endzone throughout the rest of the game which helped them cap off an undefeated season and claim the 2022 NWPJFL 6U championship.
