WYFL 12U/14U Scores and Highlights (9-24-25)

Benson 11U 38, Parkland 0

The Benson Bruins overcame a slow start and exploded in the second half to earn a 38–0 shutout victory over the Parkland Raiders in 11U Washington Youth Football League action. The Bruins were held scoreless in the first quarter but responded with consistent execution on both sides of the ball, scoring in every quarter afterward and keeping Parkland out of the end zone.

Benson’s offense needed time to settle in, but its defense made an early impact. The Bruins held Parkland without a first-quarter score, applying pressure at the line of scrimmage and limiting positive gains. Strong tackling and consistent pursuit helped Benson control field position and keep the Raiders from building momentum.

The offense got going in the second quarter. Running back Jr Falefia found space for a 10-yard touchdown to open the scoring. Ohi Hoopii-Tupito followed with a clean extra point kick, giving Benson an 8–0 lead heading into halftime.

After the break, the Bruins found their rhythm. Falefia added his second score of the day with an 8-yard touchdown run to extend the lead. Hoopii-Tupito converted again, pushing the score to 16–0. On the next series, Hoopii-Tupito broke loose for a 10-yard touchdown and followed with his third straight successful extra point. Kingston Bates added to the momentum with a 15-yard rushing score, and Hoopii-Tupito stayed perfect on kicks to make it 32–0 by the end of the third.

Benson continued to control the game into the fourth quarter. Silas Fuiava capped off the scoring with a 7-yard touchdown run as the final seconds ticked off the clock. No extra point was attempted due to time expiring.

On defense, the Bruins set the tone early and never let up. They forced multiple three-and-outs and regularly stopped plays at or behind the line of scrimmage. Their discipline and communication on that side of the ball helped preserve the shutout.

Hoopii-Tupito’s all-around performance stood out—contributing on the ground and converting all extra point attempts—while Falefia, Bates, and Fuiava each played key roles in the ground game. The defensive unit played as a group, flying to the football and keeping Parkland out of sync.

With the win, Benson improved to 3–0 on the season, while Parkland fell to 0–3.
