Celebrating The Life Of Gerald L. Edwards

Gerald Lynn Edwards

Gerald Lynn Edwards was born to Johnny Edwards and Grace Edwards on October 16, 1962 in El Campo, Texas.

Gerald attended Garfield High School and graduated with the Class of 1980, excelling in track and field. He went on to graduate from Washington State University (WSU) where he continued track and field, setting numerous records in sprints and jumps. After returning from WSU, he became a part of the Ballard Track Club. Track and Field was Gerald’s passion and that was shown through his love of coaching children. He was known by so many as Mr. Edwards, dedicating many years to the kids at Leschi Elementary, Zion Prep and TT Minor.

Gerald was a beloved father to Alexis Cherie and loving son to his parents, caring brother to his sister Joi Edwards. He leaves an abundance of cousins, family and friends who will miss Gerald greatly.

In honor of Gerald, please wear your school alumni attire from either Garfield, WSU or his favorite color – blue.
