The City of Seattle will be partnering with the community to host the Central Area Block Party on Sat., Sept. 27 at the corner of 23rd Avenue and Cherry Street (2323 E. Cherry Street) from 10:00am to 6:00pm.
The event will feature live music, food trucks, art activities and more. In addition, the block party is an opportunity for Central Area residents to learn about and provide feedback on the 23rd Ave Action Plan (Union-Cherry-Jackson), the urban design framework and possible zoning changes in these key community nodes. It’s also a chance to receive the most current information on the 23rd Ave corridor improvements.
The block party is sponsored by the 23rd Ave Advisory Core Team (ACT). During the event, you can meet the ACT members who helped shape these new plans for the Central Area. The ACT was formed to work in partnership with this City team and the community to uphold their vision of the community nodes along the 23rd Avenue corridor to achieve a healthy living environment.
