Tabernacle Military and Senior Care Ministries, Military Veteran Solution, & African American Veterans Group of Washington State and the Central Area Community have come together to show their support and appreciation for the services of our men and women of the Armed Forces and their families by hosting the Central Area Veterans Resource Fair. This free event will take place from 9:00 a.m. – 2:00 p.m. on May 24 at Tabernacle Missionary Baptist Church – 2801 S. Jackson Street in Seattle.
The fair will provide information about resources and services that are available to all active military, veterans, widows of veteran spouses and partners, children and family members including the latest information on Veteran Benefits, County and City services for active and discharged military personnel and their families.
Attendees will also have the opportunity to meet with Veteran Affairs professionals to discuss Veterans Benefits and services. VA Accredited Agent, Alfredo “Tito” Medina, will also be present to advise and assist veterans and their families in filing claims for VA disability compensation and pension. They will also be able to access other current sources and information including, but not limited:
• Speak to a Financial Benefit Representative;
• Information will be available for Job placement, training services, and many more.
• Other services, assistance and information available from city and county departments.
Also, the African American Veterans Group of Washington State and National Association for Black Veterans (NABVETS) will be on-site as well.
