Leslie Jones is an authentic dynamic leader with over 20 years of experience leading for-profit and not-for-profit organizations.  She currently serves as the Director of the Diversity Programs of Sound Transit, where she leads the Agency’s small business and labor relations programs. She is the Agency’s champion and spokesperson on matters of diversity, equity, and inclusion.

Jones provides strategic diversity leadership for the regional transit authority. She works with the Agency’s internal and external stakeholders to establish long-range goals, strategies, plans, and policies to improve mobility for Central Puget Sound that include the diverse people of the region. Building an inclusive environment is a top priority for her as she and her team develop and implement strategies and actions that ensure that all individuals are treated respectfully and fairly and have equal access to opportunities and resources.

Prior to joining Sound Transit in 2005, Ms. Jones was Regional Vice-President, Consumer Sales of Qwest Communications where she managed and directed Qwest’s residential customer market.

Jones earned her B.S. degree in Business Administration from City University, Seattle, WA.
