“My message to young Black fathers is do not give up. We need you, our Black young children, our Black young women, our Black young men we really need you to stay in the fight. We need you to continue to fight.”
Andrew Stewart…
“My message for the young Black brothers is you bring something into this life, you have to care of that life. I have a father, I have five brothers and my dad is there for me through thick and thin. So basically be there for your seed. You bring them into this life take care of them.”
Vee Rae…
“My message to young Black fathers is be active in your child’s or children’s lives, be positive and lead by example.”
Efrem McGaughey…
We need to have a strong sense of community, being together instead of all the battling that’s got to stop. that’s gotta stop, Black on Black violence that’s gotta stop, period. All the little fanatical Black on Black inconsistency we don’t need to have if we are to achieve a goal, to achieve a power where our voice actually says something. Study law by studying law we gain the knowledge of the advantage they have over most of us as colored people.”
Pearl Jefferson…
“My message would be for all of our young men out there to stay strong, be there for our children, set good examples for our young boys because they need you. Be good role models, mentors, just be yourself, the sky is the limit, we need you.”
Cornell Stewart…
“The message I would like to give young Black fathers is just be a man. Just own up to your responsibilities. We have to come together, we are divided and that’s not going to work. So come together, be a man and take care of your responsibilities, that is all I have say.”
