Lakewood LYTE 19
Beacon Hill Cowboys 6
Lakewood played a defensively relentless 12U Beacon Hill team. As the two teams battled back and forth, it was L.Y.T.E. who struck first when Dasantae Tateishi was able to find the endzone after a pass from Jaeden Daniels. The Cowboys used the next series to tie the game 6-6. Lakewood took that as a challenge and Daniels and Tateishi connected in the endzone for a second time. A couple of long runs from Riley Emmitt and a touchdown run from Dashawn Laititi helped to increase Lakewood’s lead. With one more play left in the game, the Cowboys took a shot down the field. Laititi was able to jump in front of the receiver and seal a L.Y.T.E. win with the interception. For the Cowboys, Myking Lee had a monster day but he just couldn’t get it done but himself. The Cowboys played tough but was just outlasted by Lakewood who pulled away late in the second half.
