NW Premier 8U Scores And Highlights 8-29-18

Seatac Sharks 27, West Seattle Bengals 0
The Seatac offense scored in each of the four quarters that was capped off by a beautiful 35-yard touchdown pass and catch. The defense had a strong showing giving up less than 100 yards on the day.

Rainier Ravens 6, CD Panthers 0 (OT)
The Ravens and Panthers needed extra time to settle this matchup of 8U heavyweights. The Ravens earned early season bragging rights as Jaylon Pitre scored the game winning touchdown.

Auburn Panthers 20, Beacon Hill Cowboys 12
Auburn’s Mar’Shon George scored three touchdowns (2 in first half) with the assistance of a Powerhouse offensive Line that made it possible, while teammate Kai Reimers-Fox had an amazing catch for a 40-yard gain to help lead the Panthers to victory. The Panthers’ Tristan Taase recorded a big tackle to a save a touchdown run.

After a strong defensive first quarter by both teams, the Cowboys’ Alontae Coe scored a 23 yard touchdown on a broken play running the ball in to take the lead 6 to 0. Roman Petty made a touchdown saving tackle on the two yard line but the Cowboys couldn’t stop Auburn on the next play from tying the game 6 to 6 . With a little time left in the first half, Auburn scored again making the score Cowboys 6, Auburn 13. In the second half of the game, the Cowboys’ defense was still playing strong and some great tackling by Jordan Black and Zion Ulugalu. The offense came alive with a run from Demetrius Gordon, Jr. who scored to bring the Cowboys within one-point, at 12 – 13. Once again Auburn fought back and scored now making the score Cowboys 12 and Auburn 20. With less than two minutes left in the game, the Cowboys were on the move with catches coming from Nathan Aguilar and Alonzo Coe but were stopped short of the touchdown, final score Cowboys 12 , Auburn 20.

Benson Bruins 34, Lakewood LYTE 6
The 8U Bruins started their season strong on both sides of the ball. As one of the stingiest 8U defenses in 2017, they looked even tougher this year with three new powerful defensive linemen including big Anthony Dunston, Jr. who had an impressive first game as a Bruin. The offense was equally impactful with four different players scoring touchdowns.
