Obituary – Angel Pruitt

Sunrise: November 27, 1988 – Sunset: February 16, 2019

Angel Pruitt, 30 years old, passed away in Seattle, Washington on Sat., Feb. 16, 2019.

Pruitt was born on November 27, 1988 in Seattle, Washington to Elayne Smallwood and Jade Pruitt, Sr. She attended Zion Preparatory Academy in South Seattle, Mercer Middle School and Fairfax High School. She enjoyed playing basketball and ballet. She danced with the Union Gospel Mission Youth Reach-out Center’s Dance Team, “Examples of Christ,” and played on the Union Gospel Mission basketball team. She was also the first member of the “Angel Choir” at True Vine of Holiness Missionary Baptist Church.

Pruitt will be remembered as a loving, goofy, compassionate, and free-spirited person. She brought a ray of light whenever she walked into a room. Angel was very close to her Mom and Grams. In fact as a little girl, Pruitt’s favorite expression was always, “God and Gramma raised me”

Pruitt leaves behind an 8-month old daughter, Ah’my Pruitt and 10-year old son, Ondrell Harding, II. She is survived by her Mother, Elayne Smallwood and Father, Jade Pruitt, Sr. of Seattle. She is also survived by her Grandmothers, Juanita Smallwood, Seattle, WA and Rena Manuel of Los Angeles, California; Grandfather, Lawrence Smallwood of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania; Uncle, Whittier Smallwood (Maria; daughters India and Malia) of Seattle; siblings, Marquita Evans, Ah’Lonna Prescott (son, Cashon Stewart), Earle Barrington, (son, Davonte Barrington), Ashley Albert (son, Ronald Wayne Miller, III; Son, Andre Conerly, daughter, Tyonni Shavers); Jade Pruitt, Jr., Antonio Evans, Arbrianna Rodriguez, Alexandrea Rodriguez, and Ah’mariyah King. She is also survived by a host of cousins, Great Aunties and Great Uncles from Seattle, Philadelphia, Georgia and California.

A Homegoing Service will be held this Fri., March 1 at 11:00 a.m. at Holy Temple Evangelistic Center, 12600 Renton Avenue South, Seattle, WA 98178 and will be followed by a Repast.
