
Ronald Tate was peacefully called home April 1, 2018 surrounded by family at the age of 68.
Tate, a Seattle native, was a military veteran serving in the Navy and a proud member of the Seattle Fire Department for 30-plus years, retiring in 2000. He built his family home in the Seward Park neighborhood and lived in Renton for the last few years. A loving and devoted son, brother and father he spent this last year enjoying time with his only granddaughter making memories in his daughter’s home.
Tate is proceeded in death by his father Obie Tate. He is survived by his daughter, Rochelle Tate and granddaughter, Tatum, his 91 year-old mother, Inez Tate-Walden, siblings Lynette Tate, Eddie Tate, Diane Matthews, Karen Tate, Donald “Donnie” Tate, and Obie Tate and many nieces and nephews.
Funeral services for Tate were held last Weds., Apr. 11 at the Evergreen-Washelli Funeral Home – 1111 Aurora Avenue North in Seattle.
