Ebony Fashion Fair In Seattle This Weekend The most vibrant and energetic fashion trends of the season dominate the 47th Annual Ebony Fashion Fair hosted by the Seattle Section of the National Council of Negro Women, Inc. The world’s largest traveling fashion show “Living It Up” will be in Seattle this Sun., Apr. 17 at 4:00 p.m. at the Benaroya Hall. Living It Up encourages you to walk on the bright side and project a positive attitude. Bold contrast and visual excitement are the inspiration for the dazzling array of styles selected for this year’s event. This extraordinary tour features twelve models, including two males and one full-figured woman. They will showcase provocative creations by Bob Mackie, Givenchy, Oscar de la Renta, Christian LaCroix, Hanae Mori, Fusha, Stephen Burrows, Antonio Wingfield, L’Amour, Zang Toi and other famous American and European designers. “Living It Up for Scholarships” is our annual fundraiser,” stated Yvonne Ervin Carr, publicity chairperson. “Dr. Mary McLeod Bethune founded NCNW, a non-profit organization, in 1935. Proceeds from Ebony will provide financial aid to women who wish to continue their vocational training or undergraduate/graduate studies.” Tickets can be purchased at the Benaroya Box Office and In-Time Productions.
