The Seattle Medium Newspaper Group and Kris Bennett Broadcasting (1420 AM KRIZ and 1620 AM KZIZ), will host their annual coat drive this Sat., Oct. 20 at the Seattle Medium Bldg. – 2600 S. Jackson Street in Seattle from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.
We are asking that you bring new and/or clean, slightly used coats, so that we can provide some of the less fortunate in our community with the proper clothing to make it through the cold and rainy winter months.
“Again this year, we are asking the community to support this important community service effort,” said Chris H. Bennett, chairman of KRIS Bennett Broadcasting and The Seattle Medium Newspaper Group. “There’s nothing more disheartening than to see a child or an adult outside in the cold without the proper clothing to keep them warm during the winter months.”
“All of us must step up to the plate and help take care of the less fortunate in our community,” added Bennett. “If we don’t take care our own, then who will?”
Coats in good condition will be accepted and will be distributed through a network of community partners in the coming weeks.
