Seattle Parks and Recreation will join other public and private aquatic facilities throughout Washington to celebrate the 26th Annual April Pools Day. More than 40 facilities throughout the state are working together to help families prepare for a safe summer by hosting free events that offer water safety tips and activities.
This is a great opportunity to teach your family about water safety while having fun. April Pools Day water safety topics will include:
- Preventing open water drowning
- Lifejacket use and promotion
- Cold water awareness
- Basic water rescue for children
