The UNCF will host a National Virtual Walk for Education, featured in 23 cities across our nation, including Seattle on Sat., Sept. 19.
This year, due to COVID 19, UNCF has reimagined the Walk, and is going virtual! You can show your support by making a donation, participate individually, forming or joining a team. Make a difference while practicing social distancing—walk, run, cycle, dance—all in honor of UNCF, students and schools. Then, join the online event on Sept. 19 at 11:00 a.m. (PDT) to celebrate with UNCF during a nationwide virtual event featuring celebrities, member presidents, students, alumni and others.
The UNCF National Virtual Walk for Education® is a nationwide initiative to raise awareness about our 37 member institutions and HBCUs. In addition, the online fundraiser will help raise money for UNCF to help us provide urgently needed support for our students and schools.
The Virtual Walk for Education will bring together UNCF and HBCU allies to foster systemic change, ensuring that more young people of color have a successful pathway to get to and through college.
Organizers believe this new, exciting event will provide a galvanizing outlet for individuals, companies, sororities, fraternities, community organizations and churches looking to help create better futures for African American students and us all.
The UNCF is asking for community members to stand with them on Sept. 19 to lend their voices to help create the chorus of change that is so desperately needed in our country for social equality.
