Virgo Fields, the reigning Miss Central District Teen USA, is preparing to begin the next chapter of her academic and leadership journey after accepting admission to Clark Atlanta University, where she will enroll this fall to study political science.
Fields comes from a family with deep generational roots in Seattle’s Central District and has proudly used her platform as Miss Central District Teen USA to celebrate the neighborhood’s rich cultural heritage while advocating for issues affecting young people. Her admission to Clark Atlanta University marks another milestone in a journey defined by academic achievement, leadership and community service.
Fields graduated with honors in June 2026 after completing a unique academic path that allowed her to remain connected to the Garfield High School community while completing her core high school coursework through one-on-one instruction at Spring Academy.
Through dual-enrollment studies, she will complete her final two college courses at Clark Atlanta University this fall, officially earning an Associate of Science degree in STEM from Seattle Central College. She plans to major in political science before pursuing a law degree, with the long-term goal of attending Stanford Law School. Clark Atlanta University, one of the nation’s oldest Historically Black Colleges and Universities, has long been recognized for developing leaders in public service, business, education and the arts, making it a fitting next step for Fields as she prepares for a career in law and public service.
Throughout her academic career, Fields has earned numerous scholarships recognizing her leadership, scholarship and commitment to community service. Her awards include the Dynamic Urban Opportunities Foundation Scholarship, the iUrban Teen Scholarship, the Y-Scholarship presented through Garfield High School, the YMCA and the Urban League of Metropolitan Seattle, as well as the Semi Leffall Scholarship through the Full Gospel Pentecostal Federated Church.
Beyond the classroom, Fields has remained actively engaged in her community. Her advocacy focuses on raising awareness about mental health, teen suicide prevention and support for the wrongfully accused, causes she has championed throughout her time as Miss Central District Teen USA.
Fields also is a debutante with the Washington Rhinestone Club and will be formally presented during the organization’s historic Rhinestone Ball in December, continuing a longstanding tradition of leadership, scholarship and community service.
Her pageant journey has earned widespread recognition. In addition to being named third runner-up, Fields received the Spirit Award, was voted People’s Choice for two consecutive years, and earned both the Miss Congeniality and Most Photogenic awards.
Before leaving Seattle for Atlanta, Fields received a warm community send-off during last weekend’s Umoja Fest Parade, where she represented Miss Central District Teen USA and was celebrated by family, friends and supporters as she prepares to begin college.
Her family also expressed heartfelt gratitude to their extended family, friends and the broader Seattle community for the encouragement, prayers and unwavering support they have shown throughout Fields’ journey.
