CD 6U team snapped a 3-game skid with a 26-0 win over the Benson Bruins. The offense scored on long runs from Jayden Long, Nasir “Naz” Rogers,Nehemiah “Nemo” Mitchell, and Travon Martin, Jr. The Panthers’ defense was led by Kayceon Smith, Mekhi Berket, and Romello Woods was stingy all game long.
Renton Rangers 42, Tac City Bolts 0
The Renton Rangers came out on all four cylinders in their impressive win over the Tac City Bolts. Dondre Dowlen scored three touchdowns on the day including a 60-yard touchdown run to open the game. The Rangers’ Devaughn Burrell-Lofton, Jr. scored two touchdowns, while Lonzell “L-3” King ran the ball effectively and scored a touchdown of his own, and wide receiver Laus Kamoto got his name in the scorebook with a touchdown as well. Donell Johnson, King, and Burrell-Lofton Jr would all score 2-point conversions. The Rangers’ defense, led by Kamoto, Dowlen, Burrell-Lofton Jr., Aubre Jones, King, Donnell Johnson, defended every blade of grass all day long. DaVinci Jenkins recovered one of many fumbles as Renton would go on to win 42-0 over Tac City.
