William “ZL” Peterson, 91, was born in Salisbury, North Carolina to parents Jonas and Agnus (Crow) Peterson. He passed away to his new glorious, heavenly home on Sunday, December 31, 2023.
ZL enjoyed life and we enjoyed it with him. He enjoyed family, fishing, gardening, jazz, wood works and attending church. He retired from the Gordon Brown Associated, Inc after over 50 years of employment, as a plasterer, over the span of his life. ZL was a member of the First A.M.E. Church of Seattle, WA and a Lifetime Charter Member of the Seattle Esquire Club.
He is preceded in death by his parents, his son, Zachary Robinson and siblings Anna Elliott, Lenora Roseman, Lorena Chambers, Betty Hawthorne, Grady Arnold, William Stant “Sam” Arnold, John Arnold, Revell Bundridge, Garnell Moore, Margaret Arnold, Lillie Jarrett, Walter Peterson and Katherine Soles.
He leaves to celebrate his life and legacy, his wife of 44 years, Evelyn Peterson, daughters, Dr. Sheri (Luther) Buckley, Sharon (Randy) Hebert, Staci (Ronald) Knight all of Seattle, Washington and Mary Ann Robinson of Springfield, Ohio, stepson Clifford (Catherine) Marshall of Seattle, Washington, and a host of grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Funeral services will be held on Thursday, January 18, 2024 at 11:00 am at the First A.M.E. Church at 1522-14th Ave, Seattle, Washington. Viewing will be held Wednesday, January 17, 2024 from 10:00 am – 4:00 pm at Evergreen Washelli Funeral Home, 11111 Aurora Ave. N, Seattle, Washington.
