Tanya Jimale, owner and president of Jimale Technical Services LLC, has emerged as a trailblazer in Seattle’s civil engineering sector. Over the past three decades, her Black woman-owned firm has made remarkable progress by embedding Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) principles into its hiring practices, thereby creating equitable opportunities for all employees. JTS is acclaimed for its proficiency in managing the intricacies of government construction contracts, offering services such as computer work, observation, analysis, and fiscal management recommendations. Jimale credits her achievements to the inspiration from her late father, Russell H. Holland. Among her numerous accomplishments, she particularly values the milestone of expanding her team to 25 employees, marking a significant evolution in the company’s growth trajectory.
