NW Premier 14U Scores And Highlights

HEIR 13U 60, Idaho Hit Squad 14
The 13U HEIR Apex Predators took on more out-of-state competition this weekend in a non-league matchup. They faced off against the undefeated Idaho Hit Squad. The game started off back and forth, with HEIR having a small lead at halftime by a score of 22-14. HEIR absolutely exploded in the second half and won by a score of 60-14.
Seven players found paydirt for HEIR during the game — Cordae Norling, Damariae Barrington, Justin Suega, Dash Jones, Keh’ano Corpuz, Marquis Tovia, and Andrew Peapea — as they proved once again why they are one of the top-ranked teams on the West Coast. Quarterback Cordae Norling was masterful in the pocket as he completed 17 of 20 passes for 417 yards and five touchdowns and rushed for another touchdown on the day.
Defensively, the HEIR defense buckled down and left the Hit Squad scoreless in the second half. Ahmire Rooters-Hart, Andrew Peapea, and Marquis Tovia led the way for the linebacking corps with multiple big-time hits and tackles in the backfield. Keh’ano Corpuz and Dash Jones both recorded interceptions, while the defensive line, led by Kamari Wilson, Miguel Martinez, and Lulu Mapuatuli-Laumea, provided relentless pressure throughout the day.

Benson 19, Gridiron 8
The Benson 14U Showtime Boyz punched their ticket to the 2024 playoffs with a hard-fought win over Gridiron. Benson was able to pull out the win behind timely touchdowns by quarterback Thomas Marshall, Big Noah Geyen, and Jayden Stewart, and a suffocating defense that allowed only one touchdown on the day. Benson’s offensive line played very well, as the team looks to finish the regular season next week against Rise, which is expected to be another highly competitive game.
